House Layout
As you enter the mansion you’ll experience the tranquility and peace the Fang Shun master who consulted on the house envisioned. The beautiful gardens filled with leafy plants, bamboo, fish pond and calm urn water feature set a tone complimented by the ancient Indian monastery door and lead into the spectacular house interior.
With travertine floors featuring throughout, the main living area opens onto exceptional water views with a deck and outdoor setting for 10 people. The travertine and wood floor in the main family room and 14 seater lounge are signature marks of Cloudbreak’s style and relaxed atmosphere. The 10 person dining setting and fully functional modern kitchen with high-end appliances and coffee machine, ensures entertaining is a pleasure.
The media room has 5 overhead speakers and a lounge lizard style in-built sofas to relax on. The room has a wood inlay and features many possible lighting combinations.

With beautiful glass windows, wood inlaid travertine floor and teak wood beams the apartment sized main bedroom provides an extraordinary experience for sleeping and recreation. The bed is a King size with a Tempur latex mattress of the highest quality and the large walk in robe will accommodate an extensive wardrobe. The en-suite is beautifully designed and includes an exquisite external bath capturing uninterrupted harbour views. The lighting is an inspired mix of LED and other lighting combinations and there is wood from a 16th-century Indian monastery throughout.
The 3 downstairs bedrooms (or two and a study) are large and comfortable.
They all open to harbour views and have air-conditioning and wardrobes.
Pool and outdoors
The pool area features with wet edge creating the sensation of almost being in the harbour. Resort style deck chairs are in the vicinity. A Queen bed is added to the pool house.
The Pool house offers a unique and unforgettable experience. A stunning room that fully opens to the elements with plantation shutters and sliding doors, it includes a pleasure room with wood steam room, dark slate rain water showers and a Japanese onsen which looks straight up the bay. It’s possible to dive directly into the swimming pool from this room through a perfectly placed gate!
Nautical activities abound from this extraordinary location. With direct access to the harbour you can utilise one of two top of the line kayaks for exploring the harbour, picnics in neighbouring coves or exercise. Deep waterfront access in front of the house means it’s possible to anchor or moor a boat nearby.
In addition to the pool area there is a tranquil Asian-inspired garden of repose with a bench seat and privacy from other parts of the house. It is whisper quiet with a meditative feel.

Cloudbreak is situated a few doors up from the Governor General’s house in an exclusive Mosman enclave. The mansion is 10 minutes from the City in non-peak hour and 5 minutes from Balmoral Beach. The location is one of the inner city but unencumbered by the noise and activity of humanity. Manly beach is 15 minutes away Buses run close by and ferries are a 7-minute drive away. The property is 25 minutes from Sydney Airport. Many bush walks are close by. There is also a public golf course and tennis facilities 6 minutes away.
Bush walks are 10 minutes away in the national park.
